I am not sure what the ultimate scale software should look like but I bet it would look a lot like the new soft indicator software from Progressive Scale and Software Solutions. This software has it all. Multiple scales, up to 8 I think and real flexible bar code label printing and simple database integration. They have a downloadable demo and it gives you 60 try's before it goes out.
