Fish Processing Plant Software:

Client: Large Fish Processing Pland Boston MA, and New Bedfordr MA Goal: Collect Scale information to a database from 2 plants simultaneously, label cases with bar codes, handle barcodes with a wireless windows mobile device and push teh information to a web based SQL server for management.
Technologies: Progressive used the Rice Lake 920i' s programmable scale in each plant connected to Zebra Label Printers to collect weight data and print labels. Using the nearly indestructibleWireless Datalogic Falcon Windows Mobile barcode scanner, case labels are scanned against orders and weight tickets are automatically generated. All information is then sent to a web based MS SQL database where maagement can report and print reports from the resulting data. All data is synced between the Boston and New Bedford Plants

Well everyone, we have been very busy here at progressive even though we are well known for our weighing systems, and do a killer job, we just completed a large website project , www.kerk-haydon.com or soon to be haydonkerk.com. The whole site is designed in Dot Net Nuke with multiple custom modules. We struggled a lot with dot net nuke at first. Getting off teh ground takes a little relearning about the web, but once we got going we ran. The site is now 150+ pages and growing. Let us know what you think. If you need any dot net nuke assistance, let us know, I know what the pain is like to get giong with this thing and we can help. Also this is also a GREAT intranet software.
On another note a good friend Steve Gilpin of North Texas Scales recently passed unexpectedly I would just like to say that he was a personal friend of mine and a great guy all around and he will be missed. Please take the time out to enjoy everyone around you.
